What are Pre-Insulated Pipes Made Of?

The core of insulated flexible pipes that carry water is a PEX pipe with an oxygen diffusion barrier. The PEX pipe is then surrounded by a thick layer of polyurethane foam, and the outer layer is a corrugated casing that is manufactured from high-density polyethene (HDPE).

These pipes are corrosion-resistant and have a maximum fluid temperature of 95 degrees Celsius.
