Plain Soffit Boards - 10mm

Our Plain Soffit Boards are a perfect solution to give a maintenance-free gap closer between the exterior wall and the back of the bargeboard and/or fascia systems for use in both new construction projects and for replacement applications.

These multi-purpose boards offer an appealing and affordable alternative to typical timber or MDF products where adequate ventilation to the roof area is already supplied; if additional venting is necessary, these boards can be used in conjunction with our selection of circular disc vents.

Stocked in standard White, woodgrain options of Agate Grey, Anthracite Grey, Black Ash, Golden Oak, Rosewood and Chartwell Green, and smooth finish of Anthracite GreyBlack, Storm Grey and Dark Grey Our range of Plain Soffit Boards is designed to complement the chosen replacement fascia or fascia capping board range used in the particular application.

What Are the Benefits of UPVC Soffit

Since we offer FloPlast and Freefoam UPVC Soffit, our products are supplied with the quality and dependability one would expect from a manufacturer that has won numerous awards. Our UPVC Soffit also comes with industry-leading assurances and complies with a number of British Standards.

The UPVC Soffit Boards that we stock boast a spotless, maintenance-free solution because they are weatherproof and won't rot or decay over time.

The addition of circular disc soffit vents, soffit vent strips, and vented soffit boards are just a few of the many roofline ventilation choices available with UPVC soffit boards.

UPVC Soffit Boards can be drilled, screwed, pinned, and cut using the proper equipment, just like wood can. However, unlike wood, they do not easily ignite, making them more fire-retardant.

Where Are Soffit Boards Located?

The following video provides a brief explanation of the essential phrases used in the trade for individuals who might be a bit confused about which pieces go where on the eaves structure.

What Are the Different Types of Soffit Board?

In order to suit a wide variety of applications, PVC Cladding stocks a selection of distinct UPVC Soffit styles.

Our Plain Soffit Boards are the best option for renovation projects involving the replacement of outdated wood, plywood, or masterboard type soffits. These versatile Soffit Boards range in width from 100mm (4") to 605mm and are 10mm thick (23.8").

Our Vented Soffit Boards would be the best option to ensure ventilation to the roof space if the board that is being replaced already has ventilation strips cut into it. These 10mm thick Vented Soffit Boards are available in widths ranging from 100mm (4") to 404mm (16").

Our range of Vented Soffit will provide the ventilation to the roof space required by Building Regulations in the case of a new build project, whether this is a new section of roof or a complete build, and depending on how the architect has decided to vent the roof space, will frequently provide the simplest and most easy to install solution.

Our selection of Hollow Soffit is the best choice when a "tongue and groove type" impression is required or when the soffit dimension is very wide, as in a porch area. The Hollow Soffit that we stock is lightweight, giving a beautiful "cladding style" impression while also being simple to install.

UPVC Soffit Colour Finishes

UPVC Soffit Boards are available in a variety of colours, including White, Anthracite Grey, Storm Grey, Dark Grey, Black Ash, Golden Oak, and Rosewood.

Guarantee of UPVC Soffit

All of our soffit boards carry a product performance and discolouration guarantee of 10 years.

Is PVC Soffit Safe?

Our hollow soffit boards have attained a Class 1Y rating, while our plain soffit boards bear a Class 2Y surface spread of flame rating in accordance with BS 476-7: 1997. The material does have a tendency to scorch and may crumble when exposed to fire, despite the fact that the spread of flame across PVC's surface is constrained. The smooth finish capping boards made by Freefoam comply with the specifications for Class 1 and Class 1Y resistance to the spread of flames.

The roof trim system may or may not have a major impact on the overall fire performance of any roof on which it is put. It is crucial that the box be firestopped at compartment walls with a proprietary firestop material where it is customary to carry the eaves box over, between houses.

UPVC Soffit Installation Guidance

UPVC plain and vented Soffit Boards should be fixed using two 40mm Polytop pins at intervals of no more than 600mm for White Boards and 400mm for Woodgrain Boards. In the case of Hollow Soffit Boards these should be fixed with stainless steel cladding pins which are hidden by the "tongue and groove style" effect.
