Channel Drains

Our Channel Drainage is supplied by reputable UK manufacturers such as ClarkDrain and Floplast. 

There is more detailed information on each type of channel drain in the subsections of this product range below, but as an introduction to the domestic range why not take a brief look at our video which explains the options available and how to connect the channel drain to the underground drainage system.

CHANNEL DRAINS - HOW THEY WORK 

All Channel Drains consist of a preformed channel made from either strong polypropylene or heavy polymer concrete, with a grating that sits on the top to prevent large debris from entering the channel. End caps and end or bottom outlets connect the channels to 110mm Underground Drainage Pipe. The purpose of a channel drain is to remove water from concreted, paved or tarmaced areas.

DOMESTIC CHANNEL DRAINS

Domestic Channel Drains for driveways usually have a 5 Tonne Load rating, and a 1.25 point load - this enables a car to be safely driven over it, although we do not recommend that domestic channel drain is installed in a turning circle or where cars may be subject to heavy braking, as this transfers a larger point load than straight line driving.

COMMERCIAL CHANNEL DRAINS

Commercial Channel Drains are available in a variety of load ratings from 25 Tonnes right up to 90 Tonnes. Accesories and silt traps are available for all systems.
