Who Are Hargreaves Foundry?
Founded in 1881, Hargreaves have built up real depth in casting, pattern making, fettling, fabrication and painting — and their castings feature in some of the UK's most recognisable buildings, including Buckingham Palace, the Houses of Parliament and Windsor Castle.
Everything is made in the UK to the relevant British and European standards, which is why Hargreaves systems are so often specified on listed, conservation and commercial work
The Hargreaves Range
Cast Iron Guttering: Forged to BS 460 with a minimum 40-year life expectancy when correctly installed, our Hargreaves gutters suit everything from period restorations to listed buildings — often the only material planning officers will accept on these projects. A wide choice of profiles, sizes and finishes is available.
Cast Iron Soil Pipes: We stock three cast iron soil systems — pushfit, Halifax and Mech 416 — where most suppliers carry only one, so you can match the system to the project. Valued for the fire resistance, acoustic performance and lifespan that PVC can't match, they're a common specification for flats, high-rise and commercial buildings.
Cast Iron Drainage: The Halifax cast iron drainage system is a socketless, mechanically jointed design manufactured to BS EN 877 for above- and below-ground use. Modern jointing keeps installation quick and maintenance minimal — a genuine "fit and forget" system.
