The efficiency of any gutter system depends on its capacity and installation gradient. Square gutters provide higher flow rates than half round gutters, ensuring excellent water drainage even during heavy rainfall.
FloPlast 114mm system: Handles 1.7 to 3.95 litres per second, depending on outlet positioning and gradient.
Galeco 135mm system: Offers even greater flow capacity, perfect for high-volume water runoff.
For roofs with exceptionally steep pitches or large surface areas, consider deep flow or industrial guttering options.
If you are looking to match up with existing square guttering, perhaps on a neighbouring roof, you should establish the make of that system (it will be written on one, if not all, of the fittings), and check the compatibility chart on our technical page - not all square systems are interchangeable.

Installing square gutters is straightforward with the right tools and techniques:
Measure & Plan – Determine the total length of guttering required and mark positions for brackets.
Install Fascia Brackets – Fix brackets at regular intervals, ensuring a slight fall (recommended 1:600 gradient).
Fit the Gutter Lengths – Clip gutters into place, securing with unions and corner angles where needed.
Attach Downpipes – Connect to square or round downpipes using appropriate adaptors.
Seal & Secure – Ensure all joints are properly sealed and test the system with water to check for leaks. As with all PVC Gutter systems, we always recommend the use of our SL40 spray lubricant to protect the seals and increase their lifespan.
