This category of Cast Iron Ogee comes in a grey transit primer which reduces damage done to the gutter between the warehouse and site. This is the most commonly used size of Ogee, which is very popular due to the traditional feel of the profile.
As the Ogee profile is asymmetrical, all sockets are found on the left side of each fitting, if facing the gutter head on. For this reason stopends and stopend outlets are either left or right handed, and corners are either external or internal depending on which path the guttering needs to take. Viewing the pictures should make it apparent which fitting is suitable for your job, although if you do need help please do not hesitate to contact us
The 115mm Ogee guttering system has an internal width of exactly 115mm, and a depth of 60mm, making it slightly shallower than the Notts Ogee system. The guttering comes in 1.83m (1829mm) lengths which equates to the old 6ft imperial measurement.
FEATURES OF CAST IRON GUTTERING
Key features are as follows:
BENEFITS OF CAST IRON GUTTERS
Cast Iron is an exceptionally strong and durable material - many original installations from the Victorian era are still in existence in the UK, particularly around London and the north of England. When correctly maintained, Cast Iron Gutter will outlast all rival products that are made from other materials.
COMPATIBILITY OF CAST IRON GUTTERING
When connecting to other existing Cast Iron systems, the method of jointing on the old system needs to be checked, as some original castings had external joints and some were internal. If in any doubt, email us an image of the joint and include the sizes and we will advise you on the best way of making the joint.
INSTALLATION OF CAST IRON GUTTERS
All Gutter Supplies Cast Iron Gutters and Downpipes are supplied in 1830mm lengths, with pre-drilled holes that allow nut, bolt and silicon fixing.
